Show Local News Items . . . The Saturday Evening Dinner club was entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Pectol last Saturday evening. Following dinner at Dick's cafe, the group went to the Pectol home for an evening of cards. Mr. and Mrs. Crosby were special guests also winning high score for the evening. Mrs. Jetta Snow and Mrs. Hannah Han-nah Snow were Salt Lake visitors the fore part of the week. They were accompanied home by Mrs. Nelson Snow and two children of Hurricane who have been visiting her parents in Provo. Don't miss Bette Davis in her Greatest "The Great Lie". At the Wadsworth theatre beginning Saturday. a-24-p. Released from the local hospital over the week were Mrs. Merlin Milne and baby of St. George, and Mrs. Woodrow Staheli and baby of Washington. Mrs. Clark Empey was hostess Wednesday afternoon to the Bridge Ettes with honors going to Mrs. Grant Whitehead and Mrs. Willard Milne. Miss lone Jarvis of Sun Valley, Idaho was house guest Wednesday of Mrs. Louis Pectol on her return re-turn from visiting her sister, Mrs. Roma Knight of Las Vegas. Among the feature interests of the Wednesday Deseret News was Mrs. Alice S. Miller of Panguitch, mother of Mrs. Rulon Snow of this city, photographed with her daughter, granddaughter and great granddaughter, who she is visiting and with the comment on Mrs. Miller's youthfulness. Mr. and Mrs. Marion G. Romney Rom-ney wpre St. George visitors over Wednesday and Thursday to imbibe im-bibe a little Dixie sunshine. Mr. Romney was one of the five who were called at the recent conference confer-ence in Salt Lake City to be assistants as-sistants to the present quorum of Twelve Apostles of the L.D.S. church. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Brinkerhoff and son, Mrs. Chris Levanger, Mrs. Alta Maxwell and baby, Mrs. Webster Adair and Mrs. Merle Brinkerhoff motored in from Glendale Wednesday to meet the latter Mr. Brinkerhoff, and visit Mrs. Levanger's mother, Mrs. Charlotte V. Atkfti. |
