Show Toquerville Awarded '41 County Pioneer Marker At D. U. P. Meet The Sarah Willis D. U. P. camp of Toquerville received a unanimous vote for the Pioneer marker for 1941 at the county D. U. P. convention con-vention held in the McQuarrie Memorial hall Saturday, April 19. when early 200 women assembled for the forenoon and afternoon sessions. Rachel L. Lytle presided, with a good attendance from each camp in the county. The convention was brought to order by parliamentarian, Anna Jennings, following preliminary music by organist Ada Cannon. The forenoon program included congregational singing of "Utah. Our Own Beloved Homeland". I prayer, chaplain Minnie M. i Math is; singing, "The Home Win-j Win-j nor"; minutes of the 19-40 conven-j conven-j tion read by the secretary; ad- dress of welcome. Pres. P.achel L. Noon Adjournment Adjournment was taken for the noon luncheon which was served at the Memorial hall with the St. George camps doing the honors. Meeting was resumed at 2 p. m., with community singing followed by prayer by Orpha M. Hunt. Reports Re-ports of outstanding activities for the past year were presented by the captains of the various camps followed by a vocal and panto-mine panto-mine skit from the Swiss camp of Santa Clara, a piano solo by Alta Englestead of Fort Harmony camp, two numbers by the Foster camp orchestra, and brief discussions discus-sions of various problems, Unanimous Unani-mous vote was then taken to award the 1941-42 Pioneer marker to the Sarah Willis camp at To-querville. To-querville. Silent tribute was accorded ac-corded Manomas L. Andrus, Lottie Lot-tie B. Bryner and others who have died within the year, and attention at-tention was called to the presence pres-ence of 82-year-old. Catherine Slack who is an active officer of the Sarah Willis D. U.
