Show St. George Youths Given Opportunity of Enlisting In U. S. Army Staff Sergeant Clarence R. Warner Warn-er and Private Joseph M. Beeston, both from the U. S. Army Re- jcruiting station, in Cedar City, arrived ar-rived in St. George last Thursday Thurs-day evening and remained here until late Friday evening. They were here for the purpose of interviewing in-terviewing all young men who are I desirous of enlisting in the regular regu-lar Army. Sergeant Warner stated that many excellent opportunities are available for all young men who enlist now and that with the wide expansion of the Army as it is today promotion and increase in pay within a very short period of time are assured all young men. Vacancies are now available for service in the regular Army Air Corps, Signal Corps, Chemical Warfare service, Infantry, Field Artillery and others but stated that anyone desiring to enlist for any of the above assignments must act without delay as the vacancies are being filled very rapidly. Young men desiring to enlist in the regular Army Air Corps must be high school graduates grad-uates or have the equivalent of a high school education. All young men who are interested inter-ested in an enlistment in the regular Army and who were unable un-able to contact Sergeant Warner during his visit here may secure full information by writing the U. S. Army Recruiting station, located in the National Guard Armory in Cedar City. |
