Show Zicn National Park Sets Hew Travel Record With 165,029 Visitors ZION NATIONAL P A R K . A new travel record was established when 165,029 visitors travelling in 51,451 cars were registered in Zion National Park during the past year. This is an increase of 6,966 persons or 4.41 9 over 1939, the previous record travel year. California with' 49,811 visitors again crowded Utah out of first place among the states represented repre-sented in park registration. Utah visitors won second place while Illinois was in third place and Arizona, Colorado, New York and Michigan followed in order. The monthly travel record was broken when 34,814 persons and 10.2S3 cars entered the park during dur-ing August. The largest travel day of the year was March 24, Easter Sunday, when 8,922 people and 1655 cars were registered. Transportation Vehicles Listed By private car, 51,362 vehicles, 159,302 visitors; by motorcycle, 89 vehicles, 125 visitors; by rail-bus, 5,487 visitors; miscellaneous, 115 visitors. Total 51,541 vehicles, 165,029 visitors. As during the past, Zion National Na-tional Park will remain open throughout the year with all park roads maintained in excellent condition. con-dition.
