Show Dixie dM Westminster To Tangle Here On Gridiron Friday Morning Dixie junior college gridders meet the fast Westminster football team on the local field Friday morning morn-ing at 10 a. m., in one of the crucial cru-cial games of the season. To date neither team has been defeated in league competition. The victory of the Flyers over the Snow last Thursday was their second, while Westminster defeated the sturdy Vikings of Ricks college last week 20-6 in their only league encounter so far this season. The Parsons boast a fast attack at-tack with an aggregation that fights all the time. Their back-field back-field is particularly strong, says Coach Tolman, who with Coach Hafen saw them defeat the Idaho team. On the other hand the Flyers are at full strength again with Mosely likely to see plenty of action ac-tion again. The winner of this game stands a good chance to reach the playoff play-off series at the end of the regular regu-lar league season. The B. A. C. will furnish the major competition competi-tion to the winner of this game. The league is divided into two sections because of the large geographical geo-graphical area. Weber is leading in the other division. Dixie defeated Snow last Thurs-(Continued Thurs-(Continued on page five) Dixie-Parson Game 'Continued from first page) day by a score of 26-7 before the local fans. This was Snow's second sec-ond defeat of the season, having previously been trampled by the B. A. C. Dixie was without the services of Mosely Thursday, but the team played well throughout. The probable starting line-up for tomorrow is: Jack Turner, 1. e.; Victor Cannon, Can-non, 1. t.; Vance Esplin, 1. g.; Gordon Lytle, c; Bud Kunz, r. g.; Sam Chynoweth, r. t; Tex Mosely, Mose-ly, q. b.; Max Bennett, 1. h. b.; Junior Steele, r. h. b.; Lee Williams, Wil-liams, f. b.; and Captain Doyle Sampson, r. e. The team is idle next week. |
