Show College Alumni Ball Slated To Be One of Best In History Harking back to the days of its ; first establishment as an annual affair, the Dixie junior college Alumni officers are working out plans to make this year's Hallowe'en Hallow-e'en Alumni Ball, the best on record. The program is in charge of Wesley A. Nelson, Arlo Pris- brey, Laura Lytle, Juanita Brooks ' and Evelyn Smith, who have called to their assistance other Alumni members under various ; committees. i For this year's ball, which will be held Thursday evening, Oct. 31, both the gymnasium and the j Recreation hall are to be in use, i with entertainment features plen-i plen-i tifully provided in both, say the committee. And that will not be ; all. Between the two buildings ; there will also be diversified con-; con-; cesssions. The Recreation hall and open-air pavilion will furnish i dancing space, with the regular prizes to be given to groups, j couples and single individuals for j the most effective costumes. Al- ready many of the local organ-; organ-; izations and clubs have reported their plans to attend in costume and participate. j The gymnasium will be given over to a regular fun house with j chills and thrills and all the di- versions for which St. Hallowe'en is responsible. The many con-! con-! cession booths between the two I buildings will be sponsored by local civic, literary and other clubs and organizations. : During the evening there is also : to be an elaborate floor show under direction of Mrs. Jay Tol-1 Tol-1 man and her dancing girls. This feature alone will be well worth the regular dance ticket, say those who are planning the entertainment. enter-tainment. 1 With all the preparations being be-ing made, the Alumni organization organiza-tion extends hearty invitation to dancers to come out for this gala occasion. And for those who do not care to dance will also be a full evening's entertainment to ; suit their desires. |
