Show One Hundred and Seventy Attend Annual B.-.PW. Club Card Party The annual card party of the B.-P. W. club was held in the Arrowhead Ar-rowhead club room Wednesday evening with the president, Mrs. D. M. Snow, in charge assisted by Mesdames N. J. Wadsworth and E. Eric Snow. There were 170 people present. Hostesses for the evening were the Misses LaVera McArthur, Ruth Wall, Eleanor Nichols and Mona Woodbury and Mesdames Norman Johnson, Walter Jensen, and J: J. Phoenix. The floor show was given in three parts. The first began with the song, "Memories," dramatized by Mrs. B. G. Milne; "Old Spinning Spin-ning Wheel," sung by a ladies' trio consisting of Mrs. Pratt Miles, Mrs. Earl Cannon and Miss Mary Lou Wells; "Two Little Girls In Blue", sung by the trio and dramatized dram-atized by Flora Brooks and Jean-ine Jean-ine Harris; "School Days", dramatized dram-atized by- the two little girls, Marion McArthur and Clair Snow; "Alice Blue Gown", played by Mrs. Ellis Everett and dramatized drama-tized by Margaret Mitchell; "I Love You Truly," sung by Russell Hansen and dramatized by Margaret Marg-aret Mitchell and K. D. Williams; "Brahms Lullabye", sung by Mrs. Norman Johnson with her small daughter, Sue Anne; "Silver Threads Among the Gold", sung by the ladies' trio and dramatized (Continued on page eight) B.-P. W. Card Party (Continued from first page) by Mayor D. C. Watson and Mrs. Roxie Romney. The second part of the program consisted of dances under the direction di-rection of Mrs. Jay Tolman. There was a tap dance number by Ramona Cannon and Evelyn Nelson and a tambourine dance by Joyce Adams, Marilyn Cox, Alice Thompson and Mary Lou Wells. The third part of the program was a fashion show sponsored by J. C. Penney Co., and directed by Mrs. H. C. Thomas. The models were Noma Andrus, Mrs. Wendell Snow, Jane Foremaster, LaRue Kunz, Alice Thompson, Ora Sand-berg, Sand-berg, Marilyn Thomas, Jewell Mitchell and Lorna Rue Frei. I THe first prize in Rook went to Mrs. Victor Sullivan; Five Hund- ' red, Mrs. Wayne Hinton; Bridge, Mrs. Morton Morris. The decorations were of autumn au-tumn leaves and flowers.. The guests were seated at small tables with a single rosebud as the centerpiece for each table. |
