Show Rockviile 4-H Club Girls Win Honors At State Fair By Mrs. P. JONES Through the efficient leadership of Mrs. Dale Despain and Mrs. Rulon Langston, the 4-H club girls here won first place in their county exhibits, and representing Washington county at the Utah State Fair, won fourth place there. Sunday evening they had their achievement day exercises here with Mrs. Despain presiding. Doris Demill and Roma Hirschi gave talks on club work. Zona O'Brien sang "4-H Clover and the Rose". Poems "Posture", was given giv-en by Ramona Hirschi and "Cooperation", "Co-operation", by Eldona Demill. Awarding of merit ribbons then took place. Ribbons were given to Roma Hirschi and Doris De-mill De-mill who won at the county, after which a tonett trio by Zona O'Brien, Ramona Hirschi and Eldona El-dona Demill was given. Mrs. Anson B. Call gave the origin of 4-H club work and awarded Roma and Doris with ribbons for taking 4th place at the state fair. Mrs. Despain was awarded a pin for her two-year's work in 4-H club work and Mrs. Langston received one for her one-year of service. Mrs. Anson B.
