Show Jerry Allred nabs 9th Uintah High School's Jerry Allred captured ninth place in the Orem Invitational, In-vitational, Saturday with a time of 14:58. Dave Andreason, Murray, placed first at 14:08 and Chris Cary, Provo, nabbed second at 14:10. Alan Parker, Viewmont,- placed third at 14:31 and Jace Brewer. Hillcrest, collected fourth place at 14:35. Matt Parker, Granite, captured fifth place at 14:43 and Kris Rawle, Timp-view, Timp-view, pocketed sixth place with a time of 14:50. Chad Bennion, Murray, nabbed seventh place at 14:52 and Murray's Cory Bringhurst, 14:54, netted eighth place. Anslen Chaves, Box Elder, placed tenth at 15:06. Murray captured first place in the meet with 43 points and Timpview nabbed second at 86. Box Elder placed third at 95 and Provo pickedp fourth place at 160. Granite captured fifth place with a 162 tally. Carolyn Smith of Bountiful captured the girls' crown at 17:15 and Weber placed first. John MacLaren, Hillcrest, netted first in the junior varsity race at 16:13. LTintah cross country' team will host union, Oct. 15 at 3:30 p.m. The region meet is set for Oct. 22 and thestate meet is scheduled for Oct. 28. |
