Show Experience : ; :; JjyuntPhoebe Tucker ' ' The cool fall weather didn't seem to keep anyone away from dinner Monday. Mon-day. There were 165 attending dinner and enjoying roast beef. Those attending at-tending had a real treat awaiting them. A lovely program was arranged by Stella Richards. Stella read some of her poetry. One of her poems has been published in the Ensign. Also on the program were several songs sune bv a chorus. Renee Willits, pianist, and Darlene Ufford and Wendy Mathis were soloists. The rjst of the chorus were Noreen Merrell, Shanna Hadlock, Dale Baird and LeNore Lance. Don't forget our dinners will also be held on Thursdays for the winter. The bingo winner for the week was Meg Goodrun with five games. Meg also took the top place for the month of September. The Senior Citizens will be selling tickets for a drawing on a quilt at the dance Friday night. The tickets will be $1 each. Social Security Day in October will be held Oct. 13 at the Job Service Office. The Blood Pressure clinic will be held on Oct. 26 from 2-5 p.m. A good big crowd enjoyed the dance Friday night. Newcomers from Dinosaur, Colo., were Jerry and Gladys Parcel and Francis Sherman from Rangely. Jay Searle announced that a "Costume" dance has been proposed for Oct. 30. All the dancers are to think it over and vote next week. He also reported progress of Ora Curfew and Lula Chew. Both gals are on the mend, and appreciate all the cards and . visitors. Remember: Your over the hill when you have too much room in your house and not enough in the medicine cabinet. Have a good week! |
