Show Enid Hatch B Phone 789-3150 I 1 J Leo Hackings visit in Georgia Mr. and Mrs. Leo E. Hacking recently returned from a two-week visit in Waynesboro, Georgia and Newberry, South Carolina, the areas they served on their mission. Two Maeser girls were selected to serve as Girl State representatives, sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary 124. They will join other girls selected to spend the week of June 7-13 on the campus of the College of Southern Utah at Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Turner flew to Westfield, Ohio where they witne.ed marriage of their son, William Lee Turner, and Mary Lou Speer, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Speer. They also attended the reception which followed the wedding. The couple was honored at an open house May 8 at the Maeser Stake Center. Wayde and Pam Mecham and children spent Mother's Day at the Lynn Mecham home. There will be a mission farewell Sunday, May 17 at 1:20 p.m. at the Maeser Second Ward for David Hacking, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Roger Hacking, who has been called to serve an LDS mission in Guatemala, Central America. He will enter the Mission Training Center, Provo, Thursday, May 21 where he will stay 8 weeks. Harley and Connie Morrison, Layton. visited Mr. and Mrs. Elmer (Theo) Lind and the Greg Morrison family last Thursday. . Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Smallwood and girls from Taylorsville visited Viola Caldwell over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Larson have a new baby born born May 7 at the Uintah County Hospital. Grandparents are Hugh and Billy Caldwell. Larry and I.uaine Larson, great grandparents are Wilson and Vilet Merkley. Duchesne, and Bud and Mary Larson. Roosevelt. Families visiting with the Iceland Carroll's over the weekend for Patrick Carroll's mission farewell were David and Jolynn Taylor and children from Provo. Agnes Mansfield and the Bruce Timothy's from Salt Lake City Mr. and Mrs. Vic Grow, Orem, and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Alexander. Bountiful, visited with Everett and Norma Alexander over the weekend. Mrs. Louise McDermott, Gunnison. Colo., is visiting with Rob and Trudy Rolofsz and Dayna. |
