Show -' ( ERMA JEAN LEE recipient of Silver bowl given by governor for volunteer services. Erma Lee outstanding volunteer Erma Jean Lee was honored May 4 as one of Utah's outstanding volunteers by four Utah Voluntary Action centers and the Utah Department of Social services. Erma was presented with A Carnation Car-nation Community Service award of a silver bowl by Governor and Mrs. Matheson along with 21 other volunteers volun-teers being honored at the Community Memorial Chapel in Salt Lake City. Erma Jean Lee has given much of her time during the past 7 years as a volunteer with communtiy awareness programs and drug and alcohol programs; functioning in a variety of volunteer capacities. She developed, a Human Relations column for the Vernal Express, edited a newsletter to volunteers, handled the advertisement for the programs, often adding her own money as well as time in helping those in need. She often represented the volunteer programs at local elected official meetings on county and city levels. She Is'active in PTA and has helped with Girl Scouts. Erma is married to James Lee, an executive with Moon Lake Electric. They have two children. The Utah Department of Social Services faces increased human service ser-vice needs with limited funds, is only able to meet these needs through volunteers, according to Jeano Cam-panaro. Cam-panaro.
