I NEWLY INSTALLED officers in the Lions Sunrise Club are Grant Drollinger, third vice president; Glen Spencer, two year director; Howard Carroll, second vice president; Wally Goddard, president; Larry Brady, treasurer; DeArmon Batty, secretary; Bob Oswald, one year director, Ken Bassett, two year director; Bill Huff, Lion Tamer and Corey Grua, first vice president. Lions Sunrise Club charters 62 ' A Sunrise Lions Club was officially ; thartered last Saturday, May 9, by Rex fDanford, district governor, who ; tesented the club's charter with 62 J mbers. The Sunrise Lions Club, spearheaded ; k Mike Sullivan, lieutenant governor, ;is (ormed to give men in the com-: com-: Mity who are unable to attend munity, who are unable to attend evening meetings, an opportunity to twice monthly at 6:30 a.m. ' Theclub met several times before the tarter night to elect officers and brainstorm for community projects in which the club would participate. At the meeting two weeks ago, Wally Goddard was elected president ; Corey Grua, first vice president; Howard Carroll, second vice president; Grant Drollinger, third vice president; DeArmon Batty, secretary; Larry Brady, treasurer; Bill Huff, Lion Tamer; Lee Rosenhan, Tail Twister; Kenneth Bassett and Glenn Spencer, two year directors; and Gary Mathis and Bob Oswald, one year directors. Lloyd Winward, guest speaker at the charter night and past district governor, told the future Lions of the new club that he felt from public service ser-vice working shoulder to shoulder with men, a satisfaction he did not experience ex-perience in any other organization. A solid gold pin was presented to Mike Sullivan, guiding Lion for the new club, by Rex Dunford, for his efforts in sponsoring 62 new Lions members. Ten clubs from Utah and Arizona ' were represented at the meeting and welcomed the new club with congratulations and gifts. |
