Show Utah Shriners focf Milkr 1 Potentate E. H. "Ed" Miller, Salt Lake Insurance Executive, Execu-tive, was elected Illustrious Illus-trious Potentate of Utah's El Kalah Shrine Temple at the regular meeting of the Shrine Wednesday evening Jan. 15, 1975, at the Salt Lake Masonic Temple. Ed Miller was born to Myrtle Mitchell and E. Hugh Miller in Salt Lake City March 1 1, 1922. He attended the Salt Lake Public Schools and was graduated from East High School in 1941, His attendance at the University Uni-versity of Utah was interrupted in-terrupted by his enlistment enlist-ment in tne U.S. Navy where he served as a Torpedoman 1st Class during WW II. He was also called from the Navy Reserve to further active duty in the Korean War. Mr. Miller was marred mar-red to Lee Schofield on August 9, 1947 and the couple now reside at 2121 C res thill Drive in Salt Lake City. Illustrious Potentate Miller has been active in Masonic Circles most of his adult life starting in the Salt Lake Chapter of the Order of l)u Moby while in Ili.i;h School. In 1953 he followed his father, fa-ther, into Ml. Moiiah Lodge No. 2 and served as Worshipful Master of the Lodge in I90:j. lie became be-came a Thirty Second Degree Scottish Rite Mason Ma-son in 1955 and served as Venerable Master of the .Jordan Lodge of Perfection Per-fection in )X. He also became a Noble of El Kalah Shrine Temple in 1955 and is an IIS year-Life year-Life Member of the El' i Kalah Shrine I'alrol. lie. is a Iso an active member j of the Masonic Vol K Kile , Hodies of Utah.
