Show Wrestlers Split Weekend Meets I Moab wrestlers had a busy weekend again this past week as they hosted two foes, Green River on Friday and Durango, Colorado Co-lorado on Saturday. The local mat men came out victorious against Green River, winning by a score of 48 to Hi. On Saturday, however, the Devils dropped a 37 to 22 contest. con-test. In the Friday meet, the Devils seemed to be abcl to handle the lighter light-er weights, but ran into some trouble in the heavier hea-vier classes. Dial.Melo, Stocks, Winder, Zimmerman, Zim-merman, Lammert and Bently each won for the Devils, most gaining strong decisions orpins. Dial, in the 98 lb. class pinned his opponent in 20 seconds of the first period. per-iod. Melo, in 105 lb. class also won by a pin, with Stocks winning by a forfeit. for-feit. Winder, Zimmerman, Zimmer-man, and Lammert each pinned their opponent with Bently the only heavy hea-vy class wrestler at 165 lbs., also notching a pin. In the Saturday contest con-test against Durango, Dial again came out fast and won by a pin in the first round, this time in 40 seconds. Robert Winder Win-der gained a decision in the 128 class with Wyatt gaining a pin in the 3rd period of his match. Wes Ing also gained a win in the heavyweight class. This week the Devil mat team will again be at home when they entertain en-tertain the Vikings of East Carbon. The match will be at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
