Show .: AbfeoJ Publication President Dixie Barker of liie Moab Chamber of Commerce welcomed a la ne number of members the weekly meeting on Tuesday. President Barker Bar-ker also recognized a n.u.iber of visitors to the deling. They included i'-v. Niel Foster and his wife; Jim West; Joy Mason, Ma-son, a new member, and City Court Judge Donald Crist of Moab. Joyce Murray, acting secretary of the Chamber, Cham-ber, read the minutes of the last meeting and they were approved. Mrs. Barker reported on the succpQfiil tpnm rpnrp- senting the Chamber in last week's donkey basketball bas-ketball game, in which the Chamber squad placed plac-ed second. It was also noted that the release of the February Feb-ruary Field and Stream magazine, in which the first overnight Jeep Safari Sa-fari is a feature article, is now underway. That article features a trail into the top of the world area. Author of the article, Margaret Nicholls and her husband, traveled with group leader Connie Caouette to this remarkable remark-able area. Fran Barnes, local writer, wri-ter, has another of his articles in this month's issue of Desert Magazine, now on the newsstands. Mr. and Mrs.DelShur-mer, Mrs.DelShur-mer, operators of Holiday Holi-day Haven Trailer Park, represented the Moab C of C, along with President Presi-dent Barker, at the installation in-stallation banquet of the Monticello Chamber of Commerce. Upcoming events in Moab are many during the coming year and committees commit-tees were appointed rec- ently to help with these events. A complete list of committee chairmen will be made available in the near future. |
