Show Golf Course Showed Record Year in 1974 The Moab Golf Course has completed another successful year with records re-cords showing a registration regis-tration total of 10,000 people for 1974. Of this total, 1800 were, out-of-town people and most of these stayed one or two nights in Moab. The Moab Women's Golf Association has more members during 1974, and they played more golf than in any of the previous nine years of their existence. 1400 rounds of golf were played play-ed by juniors or students during the year at greatly great-ly reduced rates afforded to students. The Canyonlands Tournament Tour-nament was very successful suc-cessful in 1974, and more participants and prize money are expected for this year's tournament which is scheduled for April 26-27. Terms will end Jan. 31 for four of the Board of Directors. These four vacancies will be filled at the annual meeting of the members of the Moab Country Club which will be held in the City Council Coun-cil Chambers at 7:30 Monday, Jan. 27. Those who served on the Board of Directors for 1974 are: Russell Hale, president; Martin Davis, vice president; pre-sident; Forrest Simpson, Simp-son, secretary; Charles McMurray, treasurer; Glen Victor, member; Verlan Bullock, member; mem-ber; and Loren Robertson, Robert-son, member. In addition to filling the four vacancies on the Board of Directors, the officers to run the Country Club during 1975 will be elected at the annual meeting. All members are urged to attend. The Moab Golf Course is open all day, year round. Very few cities can boast of such accessibility ac-cessibility to golf facilities. facili-ties.
