Show Kenneth Lucas Joined Army Kenneth G. Lucas recently re-cently enlisted in the U.S. Army through the Price, Utah, Army recruiting office, according to Sgt. 1C Jimmie A. Robbins, recruiting station commander. com-mander. Lucas is the son of Mrs. Geraldine Green, LaSal, and enlisted for the U.S. Army's dual option op-tion of Guaranteed training train-ing and final assignment choice of posts. PVT. Lucas for his training selected the Combat Engineers En-gineers and final assignment assign-ment to Ft. Ord, Calif. At the present time Pvt. Lucas is attending basic training at Ft. Leonard Leo-nard Wood, Kansas and upon completion will be transfered to the armys engineer school also at Ft. Leonard Wood and will receive training in: Map reading, construction construc-tion and maintenance of roads and airfields; explosives ex-plosives and demolition; fixed and floating bridge construction, and other related subjects. After both basic and advanced training Pvt. Lucas will spend a leave with his parents at home before being sent on to his final assignment at Ft. Ord.
