Show Pheasant Hunt To Open Saturday At Noon The next important hunting season of the year will open Saturday, Nov. 5, at 12 noon, when thousands thou-sands of scatter gunners will seek out their pheasant limit tor a three-day season. 5 Three roosters per day is the limit with six in posession. Shooting ceases at 5:30 p. m. Posted Hunting Areas For Pheasants . . . There will be nine (9) new posted hunting areas in operation in Utah during the 1949 pheasant season the Fish and Game, department de-partment announced. This brings the total number of authorized posted hunting units to twenty-nine twenty-nine (29). However, some of the closely adjoining areas in Utah county have consolidated so that the actual number of units for which the $1.00 permit will be required re-quired will be twenty-five (25). The' new units added this year are as follows: Cache county Benson Ward and Newton; Box-elder Box-elder county Perry and Bothwell; Davis county Clinton; Utah county Leland; Sevier county Redmond and Venice; Uintah county Randlett. The Lakeshore, Spanish Fork, Benjamin, and Leland units in Utah county have consolidated into in-to one unit and the Goshen and Elberta areas have also consolidated consoli-dated into one unit for this year's hunt. These units were consolidated consoli-dated upon the request of the land-ownersi land-ownersi which means that the sportsmen will have a larger area to hunt on one permit.
