Show "Coming Events Camp Kolob DUP Camp Kolob DUP will meet next Thursday afternoon at 2 p. m. at the home of Mrs. Burnette Skinner, Skin-ner, 855 East 10th South. All members are urged to attend. Appreciation Dinner Community. Church An appreciation dinner is being planned by the local Community church to honor the Sunday school teachers and church officials for the work they have done the past year. The dinner will be conducted con-ducted on Friday, November 11, beginning at 7 p. m. at the church. All adults of the church are being invited. Following the dinner there will be a program in which all will be asked to participate. Kensington Ladies Aid Society At the home of Mrs. Charles Franks next Thursday evening the 25th anniversary of the organization organiza-tion of the society will be observed with a special program beginning at 8 p. m. The name of the club has been changed from Kensington Kensing-ton club to the Kensington Ladies Aid Society. Camp Sierra Bonita DTJP Camp Sierra Bonita DUP will meet at the home of Mra Birdie Thorpe 475 East, Fourth South on Thursday November 10 at 2 p.m. All members are urged to attend. Camp Aaron Johnson DTJP. Camp Aaron Johnson DTJP will meet on Thursday November 10 at 2 p.m., at the home of Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Miner. A fine program is planned and all members are expected ex-pected to be present. Legion Auxiliary Members of the Legion Post are invited to join with the Legion Auxiliary at their meeting next Wednesday evening, November 9 at 8 p.m., at Memorial hall. Luncheon Lunch-eon will be served early under direction di-rection of Chairman Inez Chader and later a program will be given under direction of Mrs. Emma Long. Officials Explain Laws Regarding Cutting Of Trees Christmas trees cut in Utah for purposes of sale (must 'be tagged before leaving the area from which they are cut. Applicants for Christmas tree tags must describe, by legal subdivision, the lands from which the trees are cut and must present satisfactory evidence showing legal possession before tags will he issued. Tags may be secured either through the State Board of Forestry and Fire Control Con-trol or the County Sheriff upon payment of a fee of $1 per 100 tags. The Christmas tree tag authorization auth-orization by the State of Utah is a manila tag with a picture of a Christmas tree in igxeen together with the following printed matter also in green: "This tree has :been cut and is sold in compliance with the State Conservation laws," "State Board of Forestry and Fire Control;" "State of Utah;" "Size;" "Price." ; Christmas trees are tagged with tags issued toy 'the Federal Government, Gov-ernment, or trees from other states bearing vendors' tags as evidence that they were Tiot cut in Utah, will not require Utah tags. Possession Pos-session within the State of Utah, however, of an untagged Christmas Christ-mas tree will toe prima facie evidence evi-dence of violation of State Law and will subject the person or persons in possession of an untagged tree I or trees to prosecution for a misdemeanor. |
