Show High School F. H. A. Participates In World Christmas Festival The Springville Chapter of the Future Home-makers Home-makers of America are looking forward to many very interesting and worthwhile activities this vear, ac- fording to a report by Phyllis Condie, in charge of publicity. October 31st to November 5th has been proclaimed Future Home-makers Home-makers Week in the state of Utah. To commemorate the National F. H. A. the local chapter is participating par-ticipating in the World Christmas Festival by sending a package to Germany, Holland and Denmark. Also included in each package will be a letter written by the girls of this chapter. Through this it is hoped to make friends with girls and boys of other countries. The informal initiation will be held this Thursday, with the candidates can-didates for membership dressed as young people from 15 different nations. To climax the day's activities ac-tivities a party will be held in the evening at the high school. Formal initiation and installation installa-tion ceremonies for the new officers offi-cers will be held Friday night at the home of Mary Lou Whiting. Under the capable leadership of the chapter advisor, Miss Anna Beardall, and the new oficers for this year, the FHA is looking forward for-ward to a very successful year. |
