Show New Club Formed ! Here To Study Music Appreciation Organized for the purpose of furthering- music and study and appreciation in group meetings, a new music dlub has been formed in Springville which is to be affiliated affil-iated with the Utah Federation of Music clubs, it was announced this week. The initial meeting of the group was held on Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. F. C. Packard, where Edna E. Johnson; Salt Lake city, director on the board of the National Federation of Music Clubs, explained the purpose of the organization. Mrs. Johnson also told of the accomplishments of music clubs and directed the election elec-tion of officers of the club. Mrs. F. C. Packard was elected president; Mrs. Belle C. Thomas, vice-president; Mrs. Max Sumsion, secretary-treasurer; Mrs. Bliss Hoover, Mrs. Maurice Bird, Mrs. Virgil Bird, program committee; Mrs. Ernest Boyer, editor of the scrapbook and historian. After the ibusiness meeting, Mrs. Johnson reviewed the opera "Aida" by Verdi. She was assisted by Mrs. Emma M. Himpel and Mrs. Marian Mar-ian O. Harker of Salt Lake City who (gave vocal solos.
