Show Education Week Set November 6-13 Activities Outlined In an effort to bring closer cooperation co-operation between the school and the home, a special week has been set aside from November 6 to 13 as National Education Week. During the week, the schools of Springville plan special ovservance either by presentation of programs in classes or in public gatherings or in some other form being worked out by teachers. Several topics are suggested for talks during the week or for class discussion, which in the opinion of educators, would tend to accomplish accom-plish the aims, and purposes of the week. The topics listed for each day of the week, are: November 6, "Worth Of The Individual;" Nov. 7, "Educational Opportunity;" Nov. 8, "Responsible Citizenship;" Nov. 9, "Health and Safety;" Nov. 10, "Home And Community Obligations;" Obli-gations;" Nov. 11, "Armistice Day, Our Freedom And Security;" Nov. 12, "Next Decade In Education." As one means of observance of 'the week, the high school has arranged ar-ranged to have students present the program in Sunday evening meetings in several of the wards on November 13, using for their topic, "Worth of The Individual," according to Principal Paul K. Walker. It is hoped that parents, teachers tea-chers and students take advantage of the week's activities to become better acquainted. Lincoln School The Lincoln school, under direction direc-tion of Principal Frank Patten, will observe National Educatioa Week, November 6 to 13, by discussion dis-cussion of a special topic during each day of the week. On Sunday evening, November 13, students from the Sixth grade will speak on one of the outlined subjects in the meeting at the Third-Ninth ward chapel. |
