Show SEARS RIM MACHINE MAKES GOOD SHOWING G. V. Soars and E. V. Sadler of the Sears Specialtj' company, 201 Ness building have just returned from a two months' trip in the east, where they obtained contracts for the manufacture manu-facture of their rim machine. The machine ma-chine lias been perfected and its manu facture is proceeding- smoothly, according accord-ing to Mr. Sears. While in the east they demonstrated the machine, which is an invention of Mr. Sears, before officials of the war department in Washington; the B. ! Goodrich Tirc company of Akron, Ohio; the Goodyear Tire & Rubber company, also of Akron, tho Standard Racine Tire company of Milwaukee, Wis., and ninny other concerns. They have obtained for their device the written indorsement of the war department de-partment and the aforementioned concerns. con-cerns. The patents for the Sears Rim ma chine were allowed some time ago and with the many compliments that have been received for the machine in practically prac-tically every automobile and tire plant visited during their trip, they believe their device fills a great need. With tke assurance of the Kelsey Rim company and the Goodyear Tire & Rubber company, who have spent thousands of dollars on experimentation of different rim types, that the cross split rim has proved the most practical, practi-cal, a bright future for their product is predicted, as their mac hi re. is built for operation on this type of rim. |
