Roberts, in the case against. William J. Stephens, Sr., and sons, William, Wil-liam, Jr.. Oeorge and l- K. Stephens, charged with assault by William P. Lethbridge, a tenant in the Argyle apartments apart-ments in this city. A mot Ion of John Sneddon, a ttorney for the defendants, that the complaint be dismissed was opposed by County .Attorney .Attor-ney J. B. Bates and denied by the court, who ordered the hearing to proceed. The feature, of the case today was the announcement of George St ephens. according ac-cording to Mrs. Carl Allison, a tenant, that the defendants would take the matter mat-ter into their own hands and not consult : the law. .Mrs. Allison s;;id her fatten-! tion had been called to the noise in the 1 hail of the apartment when pt" heard loud talking a nd scuffling. She said j she went to the scene of the trouble and I saw the four defendants attacking Leth-i Leth-i bridge. i "I asked George Stephens if he had an 1 order to put these people out," .Mrs. Allison Alli-son testified.
