Show EXTRADITION WAIVED BY J. D. HENDERSON Without the formality of extradition, James D. Henderson lias promised to return re-turn today to. St. Anthony. Idaho, to face charges growing out of an attempt to cash a draft here several days ago for $1500 on the Queen Insurance company of California. He determined to go back on the advice ad-vice of his counsel, Attorney Thomas Ramage, when it was learned that he was charged in St. Anthony with theft of an automobile which he had purchased of the Idaho Falls Auto company and for which the company held a title-retaining note. Henderson came to Salt Lake to cash the draft, which he said represented insurance in-surance which he had taken' out on the automobile. Both he and his friend. Joseph Jos-eph S. Mayer,) were arrested when he presented pre-sented the draft at a local bank. Mayer Is said to have bought the automobile in question from Henderson and turned it back to him. after which it was reported stolen, whereupon the company endeavored endeav-ored to get the insurance taken out on it by Henderson. Mayer was released as the result of habeas corpus proceedings, the court finding find-ing that he had no part in the issue. |
