Show New Ohio Industry to Trail Rattlesnakes in Utah Haunts VICTIMS of "demon rum" who are recipients of nocturnal visitations by the evil spirit whicli caused the downfall of Adam and Eve may find a certain amount of relief in the knowledge knowl-edge that a new industry has been formed in Ohio. Men will be sent to Utah and other states to catch snakes, according to a letter received yesterday by M. M. Justin, field agent for the United States department depart-ment of agriculture. Tho letter reads: "Would you kindly inform me what part of your state is mostly infested with rattlesnakes and how many rattle snakes do you judge, to the best of your knowledge, are In the state? We have formed a company to catch rattlesnakes and therefore in tend to send men out to catch these i snakes. Any information you can give us on this subject will be greatly great-ly appreciated. What month of the year is best for catching those snakes In your state?" Mr. Justin said in his opinion the snake population of Utah has been greatly reduced since August, 1917, and he was sustained In this belief by many authorities on the prohibition prohibi-tion question. However, Chief of Police J. Parley White, Sheriff John S. Corless and D. C. Dunbar of the Internal revenue service are inclined to believe that there are a few of the reptilian tribe extant and they express pleasure at the thought of assistance In eliminating the by-product, at least,-of least,-of John Barleycorn. |
