Show CAR OF DOLLY VARDEN ORE REACHES SMELTER Assay Shows VaJues of 5.3 Ounces Silver Sil-ver and 52.1 Per Cent Lead, With Traces of Gold. Notice that the first ear of ore from , tho Dolly Yardcn property, situated in 1 Nevada near the I'tah line, had reached tho Murray smelter was received yesterday yes-terday by President Chris Barcas of the Polly Yardon Mining company. The asay of the sample taken at the" smelter smel-ter showed the ore to carry values of 5.3 ounces silver and 52.1 per cent lead, with a trace of gold. The shipment was made to test the commercial value of the product, and consisted of between be-tween twenty ami twenty-five tons. The Polly Yardcn company, which was organized about a year ago, consists con-sists of four claims about a mile and a half from the Polly Yardeti spring. The property is being developed by an incline which followed a vein of shipping ship-ping ore practically from the grass roots. The vein has increased from a foot in width to about three and a half feet, and the incline is now iu for a distance of about seventy feet. The property is about twelve miles from the railroad, shipments are made from the Dolly Yarden siding. Among others associated in the enterprise en-terprise with Mr. Barcas are YV. F. Jiarls. George G. Knox and Allen T. Sanford of Salt Lake. |
