Show IMPERIAL LEAD ORE NETS $34.68 A TON Another Car of Ore at Lucerne Awaiting Await-ing Shipment; Averaging Six Tons a Day. Manager J. H. Turner of the Imperial Im-perial Lead received smelter returns yesterday, from the fifth car of ore shipped "from the West Tintic property. The settlement sheet showed that the shipment netted the company $34.08 a ton. The car carried forty-five tons. The settlement was made on a basis of 38.1 per cent lead. The assay also showed that the ore carried silver values to the extent of 1.5 ounces to the ton. Mr. Turner also received a report from the mine to the effect that another an-other car of ore "was at Lucerne awaiting await-ing a car, and that more ore. was being moved to the railroad at the rate of six to seven tons a day. Four six-horse six-horse teams are employed in moving the ore from Imperial Lead to Lucerne. The company plans to install a hoist as early as possible, which, the management manage-ment believes, will practically double the output of the mine. The roads between be-tween the mine and Lucerne are reported re-ported in "good condition. Mr. Turner expects to visit the property early next week. |
