EC1AI GUIDESLUCKY STAR Reorfranizatlon of the Lucky Star Copper Cop-per Mining company, with property located lo-cated at Dugway, Tooele county, has been effected and it Is officially stated that considerable new capital -has been interested to assure the development of this group, which has long been recognized recog-nized as meritorious. The officials and directors of the company as reorganized follow: Henrv Karker. Taylorsville, president and general manager; William Squires, Bingham, vice president; William A. Eckmann, Bingham, mine superintendent; superinten-dent; George Stephens, Bingham, treasurer; treas-urer; N. J. Nielsen, secretary: these, with N. P. Swenson of Union, constitute the directorate. It was announced yesterday that a vigorous vig-orous campaign of development would be pushed without delay on the mineral holdings of the company, which carry good values in lead, silver, gold and copper. cop-per. Secretary Nielsen said yesterday that the property had been examined by a number of mining men and engineers, including in-cluding Pierre Peugeot. J. L. Cook and J. H. Fer, all of whom have expressed the opinion that the -Lucky Star will develop de-velop into one of the big producing mines of the state. Mr. Eckmann said that in his forty-two years of experience as prospector and lessee, the Lucky Star presented the most promising outlook of nil. He added that the new cut of the Lincoln highway, going through Johnson's John-son's pass, made an excellent auto road to the International smelter at Tooele, a distance of about eightv miles, and this road goes within twelve miles of the Lucky Star, passing at the north end of Granite mountain. Truck service, it is stated, will put the ore at the smellers at about ?6 per ton cost. |
