Show Names in the News. "Carhocoal" is the name given to a new fuel now being tested by tlie United States navy. Actually, "r-arbocoal" is ordinarv bituminous coal from which sulphates sul-phates "and other by-products have been extracted. This is .lone by a process of low-temperature distillation. Tlie residue is made into briquettes of a virtually c'mokelean fuel. The navy tests have found that the fuel works satisfactorily in furnaces having limit el grate areas and restricted boiler capacities.
