Unstinted praise to the Utah rifle team whicii went to Camp Perry, Ohio, for this year's competition Is given In a letter which. Governor Bamberger received yesterday yes-terday from M. A. Winter, president or tho National Match Civilian Rifle Team association. "The succoss of the national matches recently held at Camp Ferry, Ohio," Mr. Winter writes, "was so great that this association feels it is Incumbent upon it. to express to you the great appreciation apprecia-tion It feida for the civilian rille team sent to Camp Perry from Utah, Just such teams are responsible for the unprecedented un-precedented and splendid success of the matches. "I'ermit me to state that Carl A. ladger. captain of the civilian rilie team from Utah, through personal effort and Influence exerted over the members of his team, has helped to make this year's government cuntest a most profitable, patriotic and altogether satisfactory event. The service rendered by him has not. only endeared him to many, but. it had in it that quality of dignity which made him, in the opinion of those witli whom he came In contact, a llttlng representative rep-resentative of the state of Utah." |
