Show Tvo Waitresses Take Honors In Shoe Donations Interested in Campaign, They Contribute 11 Pairs for War Refugees. TT-rERE WERE 1X4 pairs of shoes on hand last night at 76 E-ast First South street for the French and Belgian war refugees. The wife of a local business man brought in a dozen fairs of new shoes. The largest single donation of old shoes yesterday yes-terday was made by two waitresses employed em-ployed in a Main street restaurant. The young women returned with eleven pairs of repaired shoes purchased pur-chased from a second-hand dealer. M r. Sudbury asks that all shoes sent in be securely tied in pairs in order to prevent them from being mismated. |
