Show OLD JACK RYAN SHOOTS SEALS FULLJP HOLES Man Who Never Went to Arizona Allows Leaders but One Run: Baum Victim. Special to The Tribune. LOS ANGESES, July 20. The Seals had many reasons today to regret the fact that J. Wampus Ryan did not leap to the Arizona outlaws. The Seals were able only to dig up one run way down in the ninth round when Jack eased up. The final count was 7 to 1. At the start of the game Ryan and Spider Baum those two grand veterans of years and years were opposing each other. At the finish Ryan was still twisting his freak spitter across the plate in a manner that completely baffled baf-fled the Seals, while Spider was in his street clothes watching the final rounds from the stands. Like a bolt from the well-known blue, the Angels swept down on Baum in the last of the second. All of Spider's craft and skill and hooks and spitters couldn't check the hurly-burly of runners that swept around the bases rampant. After four markers had been herded across the plate with two men still on the sacks and no one down, Spider was beckoned to the shower and Red Old-field Old-field took up the burden. The home boys reached Red for two more runs before he put a blanket on the uprising. The Angels scored their final run in the fifth. SAN FRANCISCO. AB. R. H. PO. A. E.
