Show MORAN IS LIKELY TO GET CONTRACT Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, July 19. On his bid of $40,- 956.98 it is probable that P. J. Moran of Salt Lake will he awarded the contract ' for paving In district No. 127, which embraces em-braces Twenty-sixth street between , Washington avenue and the railroad tracks, 131 feet west of Wall avenue. 1 Bids for the work were opened by the city commissioners this morning and that of the Salt Lake contractor seemed to be t the lowest of the four bids received. The other bidders and the amounts of their bids are: Wheelwright Construction Construc-tion companv, Ogden, for bitulithic pav- 1 ins, $19,933.60; Strange & Maguiie Paving Pav-ing company, Salt Lake, bitulithic paving, pav-ing, $46,013.95; J. P. O'Neil Construction company, Ogden, asphaltum paving, $44,-3R1.70. $44,-3R1.70. The bid of Moran is submitted for asphaltum. All bids were referred to the city engineer for tabulation and definite ."action by the commission probably will be taken at the regular meeting of the board Monday evening. |
