OCR Text	Show EXTREMISTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR RUSSIAN DEFEAT PETROGRAD, July 20. The Russian failure to hold the Germans In eastern Galicia, says an official statement Issued by the war department today, was due to extremist detachments holding meetings meet-ings and discuss! nz the advisability of obeying orders which some regiments had refused to obey. The Russian statement says the 607th Mlynov regiment, situated between Bat-kov Bat-kov and Manajov, voluntarily retired before be-fore the attacking Germans, and as a result the neighboring units also had to retire.
