Show HIGH "Y" CLUB HOLDS ITS WEEKLY DINNER An enthusiastic meeting of the ?Iigh "Y" club was held last night in the Y. W. C. A. cafeteria. The basketball squads of the East and West high schools were Invited and the members of the hcopard squad, accompanied by Coach Tommv Fitzpatrick, turned out in full force, but the West basketeers were represented bv only one member. About thirtv-five other students were present and the gathering was entirely successful. Following the dinner, the Rev. Chester Snyder gave his talk on the "Manhood of the Master." His address was excellent and appreciated by the members of the club. Chester William Dean of Denver was the special speaker of the evening and gave a short outline on Abraham Lincoln's career. He brought out a number of the good characteristics of Lincoln in a fitting style. Next Monday the High "Y" club will again meet, arid probably Bill Bern hard, manager of the Salt Lake baseball club, will be on hand to talk on the diamond game. |
