Show ACCUSES WIFE OF ATTEMPT TO KILL B. Vanderschuit, Formerly of Ogden, at Point of Death as Result of Two Gunshot Wounds. Special to The Tribune. PRICE, Fe-b. 12. B. Vanderschirit, undertaker, un-dertaker, -formerly of Ogden and Poca-tello, Poca-tello, lies at his home here paralyzed and at the point of death as the result of two bullet wounds, the shots being fired by his wife. In a statement to his physician and attorney, the injured man accused his wife of firing- the shots deliberately and refused to accede to her request to say it was, accidental. The first shot passed through the muscle of the left arm and went deep into the chest, causing profuse internal 'bleeding. The second shot passd through the neck, cutting a nerve center. Airs. Vanderschuit is said to have stated in the presence of witnesses that her husband .had threatened to shoot her and that they were, quarreling over the gun, when it was accidentally discharged. The man's arm was badly burned by the first shot, but the second was evidently evi-dently fired at some distance. An un-exploded un-exploded cortridge was found between the two exploded, according to those who examined ex-amined the revolver. The couple have had trouble before, according ac-cording to friends, and Mrs. Vanderschuit came back to Price only a few weeks ago after a year in Ogden away from her husband. |
