Show Utah Patriarch Can Enumerate 672 Descendants Pleasant Green Taylor of Harrisville Is Honor Guest at Reunion. HAVING reached an age that is one score years beyond the biblical bibli-cal allotment of three score and ten, Pleasant Green Taylor of Harrisville, Weber county, patriarch of the Mormon church,is now the progenitor of 672 men, women and children. Report of the number of descendants of the patriarch -eras made at a recent family reunion held in the Harrisville ward house. At the time, Mr. Taylor was presented with a bouquet of ninety roses and carnations, one fcr each year of his life. Not .ill of the descendants were present at the reunion, but many of the old friends of Mr. Taylor were there. It was brought out during the celebration celebra-tion that for twelve years Mr. Taylor served without pay as captain pf the police force of Ogden. The reunion was really one of the descendants, the Joseph Jo-seph Taylor, Sr., branch of the Taylor family. Report of the number of living descendants of Pleasant Green Taylor was made by Levi J. Taylor, genealogist for the family. He said that descendants of whom he had been able to get record, included 36 children, 234 grandchildren, 3S7 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. In giving further information of the genealogy of the Taylor family, Levi J. Taylor read a communication from the Rev. William I. Taylor of Whitestone, Ind. FollowiDg is an extract from the letter: Our great ancestor came from Carlisle, Kngland, in 1660, some say in 1693, but the earliest date is pretty well established.' We have two presidents of the United States to our credit, .lames Madison was a descendant of .lames Taylor through his daughter, Prances Taylor, and Zachary Taylor came later in direct di-rect line.
