"In fact," continued Mr. Herrmann, "the players find they will be without berths If plans being talked of are carried out." This is taken to mean by baseball critics that there Is something more than gossip gos-sip regarding the reported plan of the two major leagues to cut their player limits lim-its to eighteen men. Tf such a move is made the minors will be helped by being given a whack at better playing talent. During the week the magnates will discuss dis-cuss the best action to take in case the United States is drawn into war, and many other matters will come up. Both leagues will adopt their playing schedules during the week. |
