Show HEADQUARTERS TEAM WINS POLO TOURNEY FIELD HEADQUARTERS PUNITIVE EXPEDITION. Mexico. Dec. IS (by army radio to Columbus, N. M.l. A polo tournament, the first ever played in Mexico, Mex-ico, ended here today when the headquarters headquar-ters team won from the Thirteenth cavalry by a score of 7 to o1. Those on the winning team were Lieutenants Martin C. Shallenberger. James L. Collins (2), captain of the team, George S. Pat ton (4). and R. E. Anderson (3). The first three officers are aides to General Pershing. Per-shing. Earn of the four will receive a silver trophy cup. Players from all the cavalry regiments in Mexico except one took part in the tournament. Teams that played represented repre-sented the Seventh, Tenth, Eleventh and Thirteenth cavalry, while the winning four was officially known as the division headquarters team. |
