Several other committees probably will be appointed at tonight's meeting to see that the women of the state are given proper representation in the inaugural parade. State Chairman Mathonihab Thomas announced yesterday that, first on the list of women's clubs would be that of the Women's Democratic club, of which Mrs. Elizabeth J. Hay ward is president. This is the- pioneer organization of the kind in the state. Invitations will be extended to all Woodrow Wilson clubs in the state to arrange for representation in the parade. Chairman Thomas emphasized the assertion as-sertion that all such clubs would receive equal consideration, that the clubs of the country districts would be entitled to exactly ex-actly the same representation as the clubs of the cities. He called attention to the fact that all arrangements in this connection con-nection would come directly under the supervision of the state committee and that no authority, had been delegated to others to take the matter in hand. |
