Show M COPPER DIE ITUOT-lZOi Superintendent Reports the Property Responding to Development. President John F. Cowan of the Tucson-A rizona, with mines located out of Tucsont Ariz., is in receipt of a letter from Asher Cowan, superintendent of the property, which contains word calculated to reaffirm the faith of the shareholders in the great and not distant future of the mine as one of the big and active producers. pro-ducers. The drift on one shaft, says Superintendent Superin-tendent Cowan, is in good ore, carrying from 6 to 7 per cent copper, while in the Assure much of the ore will run better than 10 per cent copper. He noted that the first round of shots put in last Thursday Thurs-day showed much clialcocite in the formation, forma-tion, indicating enrichment at depth or with further progress along the projected line of development. Mr. Cowan said that he had already taken out, awaiting shipment, 150 tons of the ore that would carry at least 7 per cent copper. A body of unusually high-grade copper, cop-per, not continuous, but forming much of a vein that is from two to four feet wide, has been encountered 'in the drift being run from shaft No. 1. The superintendent superintend-ent sent down three samples of this rock, one of the pieces weighing about fifty pounds which carries more than 25 per cent copper, while the other samples are almost aa rich. Until further depth is attained at-tained it Is not possible to state how great is the magnitude of this exceptionally excep-tionally rich streak, but the formation would indicate, in the opinion of President Presi-dent Cowan, that the volume of high grade will continue to grow as the development devel-opment work is pushed.
