Show CITY COMMISSIONER RESIGNS AS BISHOP Special to The Tribune. OGDEN. Dec. IS. Because most of his time is consumed with affairs of the city government and private business interest's, inter-est's, city Commissioner M- E- Jones lias resigned as bishop of the Seventh ward of the Mormon church. lie is succeeded in the church office by William A. Budge. In presen ting his own resignation. Commissioner Com-missioner Jones asked for the honorable release of his counselors, Asael Farr and John L. Wilson; also his ward clerk, A. E. Shaw. Those of the new bishopric sustained by members of the ward in addition to Bishop Bish-op Budge, are Desmond J. Barker, first counselor: Charles A. Shaw, second counselor, coun-selor, and Walter L. Wilson, ward clerk. All of those forming the new bishopric are younger than t he men who resigned. The new officers will not take charge of their new duties until January 1, 13L. |
