Show MAUDE ADAMS WINS ANOTHER TRIUMPH Salt Lake Actress Appears in 'A Kiss for Cinderella' at Baltimore. BALTIMORE, Dec. IS. Sir James M. Barrie's latest play, "A Kiss for Cinderella," Cinder-ella," with Maude Adams In the principal role, was given its first American presentation presen-tation here tonight at Nixon's Academy of Music. Miss Adams for several months had personally supervised the preparations prepara-tions for the production. She was called before the curtain a number of times by the applause of the audience, which in- i eluded many persons prominent in social 'and theatrical circles. The play is a modernized version of the familiar fairy tale, the heroine being Introduced In-troduced as a household drudge in a London Lon-don artist's studio. In Cinderella's dream of a ball,, wide scope was given to the playwright's whimsical fancy. A London policeman was the Prince Charming Charm-ing of the little "slavey's" imagination. Incidental music was written for the plav by Paul Tietjens. |
