I-'rank Decanniere De-canniere 's gooil left arm proved a good deal too strong for the tail-end Oaklets today and they filed silently from the park on the weak end of a 0 to 0 score. 1 Boyd, who started for Oakland, got off to a bad start when the Tigers pounced on him for three runs in the opening inning, and he was in constant con-stant trouble until the fourth inning. Here he stedied down, but too late. Only one hit was made from his delivery de-livery in the last four innings. Donne started the trouble in the first I inning when he singled infield. Gleich- ; mann fouled to Rube Gardner, and Doane went to second on a clean stoal. I Riaberg went out, and Doane took third. Bates singled to right, scoring Doane, Daley singled infield, and Mattiek singled sin-gled to left, scoring Bates and sending Daley to third. Daley and -Mattiek then pulled a double steal Daley scoring. scor-ing. Spencer walked, and the runner advanced on a wild pitch. Rader ended the agony with an easy out, Barry Bar-ry to Boyd. 1 In tho first half of the second inning1 Manager Klliott was sent to the elub- j house by Umpire Guthrie for crabbing. I He attempted to duck a wild pitch, and in so doing bunted to Decanniere, who threw him out at first. F. Klliott caught the remaining innings. The Tigers scored two more in the- third, when Risberg was safe on Davis's error, er-ror, and, after Bates had fanned, Daley tripled. Mattiek sent a long double to center, scoring Daley, and was out trviug to stretch it into a triple. In slfding into third he spiked Bobby Davis. Spencer then singled to center, and Rader again ended the agony. The Tigers scored their last run in the fourth on singles by Doane and Gleich mann and an error by Ken-worthy, Ken-worthy, which allowed Doane to score. Risberg sent Gleiehmann to third with single, but Bates hit into a double play. After this point the Tigers were not dangerous. The Oaks were never very close to scoring, - not a man reaching third base. OAKLAND. AB. R. H. PO. A. E.
