Speaking of the action, ac-tion, of the board of directors of the company com-pany General Manager T. R. Cutler said: The action of the company in Increasing In-creasing the price over and above that already agreed on Is due to the feeling of the board that the farmers farm-ers should share In the company's prosperity. This is in line with what was promised at the stockholders' meeting last April, when President Smith's report stated that If business busi-ness conditions justified the farmers would be paid an increased rate. When the last fiscal year ended, February 29, the company had a large amount of sugar on hand, the . value of which was problematical. Now the greater part of this has been soli and the company knows where It stands, which enables it lo make the extra allotment to the farmers. |
