Show EVIDENCE FINISHED IN EDMUNDS CASE Evidence in the case of the state against John Edmunds, charged with having assaulted Sain Motel lo with a deadly weapon, was completed yesterday yester-day and the ease will be given to tho jury today in Judge M. L. Ritchie's court. Yesterday's evidence offered by the defense was devoted, mainly to an impeachment of the evidence given by the prosecution, and au endeavor was made to show that eye-witnesses introduced intro-duced by the state could not have witnessed wit-nessed the occurrence as they testified to. A large stone was also brought, into evidence, tho contention being mude by the defense that Motello had iiurlcd the stone at Edmunds before the latter fired two shots at Motelle. As do proof was given that tho stone had been thrown, the court rejected this evidence. |
