Smith and State Chemist Herman Harms to attend the national convention of state dairy and food commissioners and state chemists, to be held in Detroit, Mich., August 7 to 11, was given yesterday morning by the state board of examiners. exami-ners. Employment of six extra deputy inspectors in-spectors by the state dairy and food department de-partment to serve through the canning sen son was also authorized. The special spe-cial deputies will be in service from the beginning of the season, about August 15, to the close, about October 1.
