Show SALT LAKE TO HAVE MODERN TERMINAL President Julian Bamberger of Salt Lake & Ogden Eoad Inspects Eastern East-ern Stations for Pointers. Julian Bamberger, president and general gen-eral manager ot the bait Lake & Ogden rnilroad, returned yesterday 1'roin a three weeks' trip through tlie east, whieh n-as made for the purpose of inspection in-spection of terminal facilities of some : or tlie leading interurban companies of the country. While away he visited New York, Chicago, St. Louis, Kansas 1 City, Denver and other leading interurban inter-urban centers and the information gained by the inspections will be used in giving Salt Lake one of the most up-to-date electric railway terminals in the United States. Work 011 the local interurban terminal will be pushed as fast as possible and it is estimated that the new interurban union station will be ready for service within the next sixty day's. The general gen-eral plan for the terminal was outlined before Mr. Bamberger went east and the details will now be workeil out by using the data obtained on tho inspection inspec-tion trip. "I saw the terminals anil lines of most of the leading interurban roads of the countrv on the trip." Mr. Bamberger Bamber-ger asserted last night, "and all I saw-leads saw-leads mo to believe that Utah has interurban in-terurban service tho equal of anv in the United States. Anyhow, I could see no reason why we should bo ashamed of our electric lines." |
